Gulf International Bank (UK) aims to engage with companies in which we invest within our relevant funds and investment strategies. This is in order to gain an additional understanding of material topics and, when relevant and possible, to drive change that will enhance shareholder value. As a responsible investor, we aim to engage with companies and monitor their progress on a number of topics including, but not limited to, environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors. Our engagement policies and approach are being reviewed in light of the Shareholder Rights Directive II and the proposed revisions to the UK Stewardship Code, with a view to making relevant disclosures by the end of 2019.
